Toad Rour it's gonna be a road trip that requires coffee that covers on the first coat… none of that weak stuff that changes color with cream. I'll be driving a chopped Model A with a '54 Chrysler Hemi sucking gas from 6-deuces. The journey starts in St Augustine, Florida, and will end up at my California home on the West Coast.
Hi, I'm John Gilbert maybe some of you guys will recognize my name, I've been a contributor to Street Rodder on and off now for the last few years. To supplement my income as a freelance motor-journalist I recently got a job as a used car salesman in Newport Beach, California. Among my duties at Newport Classic Cars is to research each car's numbers, and verify it's as rare as we think it is. Last week Henry, he's NCC's owner told me he'd just bought a '30 Model A Ford off eBay. That's where the story begins, in 2 days I'll be flying into Jacksonville to pick up the "Chadly Coupe" and then head to Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit the guys at Coker Tire. I'll be back on here Saturday night… uh, maybe Sunday morning to post some flicks, and spew a few more words.
