You may or may not have seen our coverage of the Goodguys Columbus Nationals; well it was my first major out of town show and let me tell you it was an experience!
The show was amazing, by far the largest I have ever been to, with estimates at over 6,300 cars in attendance. The entire city of Columbus is taken over when Goodguys come to town. As soon as the show at the end of the day is over people break out the lawn chairs and watch hot rods cruise the streets, which played out like a scene from American Graffiti. This goes on until the police break up the festivities.
You may be wondering why I have a poster of Alfred Hitchcock's The Bird's on the page. Well, first I was attacked by a bird at my hotel while people laughed as I went running down the street, bird viciously in tow. Second, is that my travel back to John Wayne Airport, was a complete nightmare and my camera bag with all the pictures I would put as my lead is probably jammed in the belly of a plane headed for Delaware as I write this. The fine people of (insert airline here) lost my luggage, after they cancelled, delayed, and changed my plane several times.
