A couple weeks ago I started to build a model of the 1958 Impala from the movie American Graffiti.
Well I never actually completed the model because I remembered what I figured out along time ago. I don't have the patience, nor the nimbleness (apparently that's a real word) in my fingers to accomplish building a simple model that was designed for kids age ten and up.
Some of the guy's over at flatheadv8.org do have the patience to put together a model and decided they would build a full scale model. So they built a gigantic X-Acto knife, 3 foot bottles of Testor's paint, those plastic dealies with all the parts attached and the body of a 1940 Ford body. It's almost enough to make me want to go home and finish building my model of the car that is "better then Darryl Starbird's Superfleck Moon Bird!"
